When you are planning moving to a new city, outside of your new real estate purchase, a major consideration will be your employment opportunities in the area. For those working in the manufacturing industry, you will find that Little Rock has a lot to offer.

Major manufacturers with corporate headquarters in the city include Alltel, Entergy, Siemens, AT&T Mobility, and Kroger. This will present you with the opportunity to offer your skills in experience in manufacturing to either their factories or corporate offices. As such, you could have the chance to work on designing, marketing or assembling anything from industrial rotary valves at one company to next year's high tech mobile phones at another.

For those in the aerospace design, engineering and manufacturing fields, Little Rock is home to Dassault Falcon Jet, and Raytheon. There, you could be working on a new strapping system for jets on a US aircraft carrier or assembling next generation unmanned aerial vehicles for the front-lines. The range of different products that you can be working on the city is extraordinary. As you will experience, there is a factory position for virtually every type of laborer, both generalized or specialized.

Little Rock is also home to manufacturers such as Affiliated Foods Southwest, Timex, LM Glasfiber. If you have experience with soldering irons and cable sheaves, be sure to investigate their openings and those of the city's busy High Tech sector. People that can help to bring electronics hardware to life are always in demand. Blue Linx, Anchor Paint and Century Industries are some of the cities largest manufacturing employers.

If you are familiar with cabinetmaking or woodworking, you will find a number of factories in Little Rock where you can be of service. Those familiar with assembling or finishing automotive parts, die tool cutting or working with plastics will be pleased to see a number of job openings in these sectors. If you know the difference between name brand Aurora water pumps and their generic counterparts, consider being a purchasing manager for one of the local manufacturers as it's also an in demand role.

As well, if you know the difference between a set of ratchet straps and and a set of hose clamps, be sure to look into some of Little Rock's transportation manufacturing companies. In addition to aerospace, there are a number of mid-sized factories in Little Rock that cater to building rail, sea and road vehicles. Be sure to investigate GC Evans, Optimal and Arkansas Manufacturing companies, who are also some of the industry's largest employers in Little Rock.

They city was recently ranked the second most diverse economy in the nation by Moody's Investor Services. Little Rock was recently ranked the seventh best metropolitan economy with the second best overall rate of growth. As well, Little Rock's factories and job market helped to earn it's recent ranking as one of the top cities for business by Forbes Magazine. As such, Little Rock is one of the most ideal job markets for those in the manufacturing industries.
